Flat foot is a progressive loss of the foot “arch”. Overtime this condition often causes pain through the degeneration joints, as well as excessive strain on tendons and ligaments that support the arch. In early stages, orthotics may be helpful in preventing progression, however, in severe cases, surgery is often necessary.
